NORWAY TERROR ATTACKS: OSLO BOMBING, YOUTH CAMP SHOOTING RATTLE ITS NATION AND THE WHOLE WORLD

July 22 2011 has become a miserable day to not just Norwegians but also those people all around the world who share a belief of Peace and love. A Norwegian man called Anders Behring Breicik hatched and implemented two biggest terror attacks, a bombing in the government office building in Oslo City and a mass shot at summer campers on an island nearby, which leads to the deadliest attack on Norwegian soil since World War II. Although this murderer had already been arrested by local police and would be thrown into prison for 21 years, it seems to us that we might need to put a new view on global terrorism now.

People used to think that Western Europe is a quite peaceful place. There is no need to worry about hanger, no worry about disease and terrorism is a very distant thing. Truly, even during the two world wars, compared with other countries who suffered a lot on both labor forces and finances, North Europe countries like Norway had a far less loss. Ever since the 911 Terrorist Attacks has attracted the spotlight of global terrorism, people outside America started to care less on democratic terrorism threads. And I think that’s the reason why this right-wing extremist could be able to buy six tons of ammonium nitrate fertilizer before he made the exposition without being checked by local police, which I think has never happened in US after 911. On the other hand, Anders Behring Breicik could dress as a police officer and no one had ever checked his ID, that’s also unreasonable in administrative process.

After the terror attacks happened, many state leaders shown their great condolences on the dead and their families, they also put strict condemn on the killer. After his contact with the prime Minister of New Zealand John Key that day, the president of United States Barack Obama told the journalists that the terror attacks happened in Norway has stroked the alarm bell. Antiterrorism is a global issue, the whole world share the responsibilities to stop those terror attacks from happening. He appealed the corporation of all countries to fight against terrorism.
